Sanlian Sand Regeneration System Completed
Sanlian Casting always persists in a sustainable and 'green' development route. Since 2008, the company has organized a team to reseach and study on the practicable 'waste sand regeneration' techniques. And the team has finally confirmed the need for a sand regeneration system which would reduce the emission of waste sand on a large scale to cut waste and protect the environment. To invest into this project complies the corporate culture of Sanlian Casting.
The sand regeneration project started in 2011 and the construction work started in early 2012. In the subsequent two years, the project R&D team kept testing and revising the design to make it better and better. In early 2014, after repeated trials, the project was finally completed and went into production in June of the same year. The finished system can process 5 tons of waste sand each hour and transfer them into reusable 'new' sand. The annual capacity of the system is 36,000 tons. And it reduces the waste sand emission by 50,000 tons annually. The 'new' sand from this system can be used in cold-box core making and provides excellent quality indices which indicates the high technique level of this design among the other systems of this kind. A new sand storehouse of 4,300 tons was built as a supporting facility of the sand regeneration system. This improves the original way of sand storage and reduces the waste to protect the environment.
During the research and construction of the sand regeneration system, Sanlian Casting has obtained a China Invention Patent. It embodies the Sanlian culture of innovation and perseverance. In the future, Sanlian will not stop its way on improvement and persists in the development of 'green casting'.
